Cold Chain Management
Cold Chain Management with the PAR LMS RT system ensures reporting as follows:
- Facilities: Specifically identified geofenced yards/depots/maintenance and repair (M&R) shops, to which equipment returns when it is not in service. All of the utilization reports are driven by the determination of gensets being within, or outside of, these defined areas.
- Heartbeat: Once every 24 hours, the PAR LMS unit sends out a message that it is still alive and reporting. This is called a "Heartbeat."
- Begin Move: When the PAR LMS unit's motion sensor is awakened, the unit waits for a 0.5 mile change in location; then it sends a "Begin Move" message.
- In Transit: The unit sends an "In Transit" message every 30 minutes while moving on a trip.
- End Move: When the motion sensor detects a stop in movement, it waits 30 minutes, then sends an "End Move" message.
